It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every
new dog who comes into my life, gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all
the components of my heart will be dog and I will become as generous and loving and they are.

This handsome lad is easy-going, energetic, loves everyone and gets along well with
other dogs. He loves to play and will happily play with any toy you throw for him.
He would be best with older children, as sometimes his play may be a bit
too much for little ones. This young pup is ready to go home!

A dog is one of the remaining reasons why some people can
be persuaded to go for a walk.
- O.A. Battista -
Bucky is a sensitive guy who'd love to collapse on the couch with
you after a day of hiking through the woods or playing in the yard.
While his main goals are to cover your face in sloppy kisses and
eat everything tasty, he is powerful, and his play can be a bit
rough. We have discovered that younger children can make
him nervous and for this reason, Bucky needs a family with
older teens/adults. He has done wonderfully with all of the
other dogs we have introduced him to. Bucky will thrive with
patient people who can give him the attention and consistency
he craves. He'll reward your effort a hundred times over!

"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain."
~Vivian Greene ~
Sweet Tanner embodies this quotation. He has been at the shelter far too long and
yet he makes everyone smile on a daily basis. Tanner does amazing tricks with
his special ball. He is truly an All-Star soccer player! He knows several
obedience commands, waits nicely for treats, and loves going for walks
and car rides. Tanner would thrive in an adult household. He is
sensitive if someone grabs his collar or neck leading us to think that
there were some traumatic moments in his past. He would also
love to be an only dog or selectivelychoose his canine siblings.
Tanner is such a favorite pup that he qualifies for our Senior Special
Program. Call us for additional information about his program.
